Your FICO Safe Driving Score represents a rolling 7–day score. This means that all trips in a rolling 7–day period are contributing to your current overall score. As trips age out and new trips are added to the current rolling 7–day window, your score will adjust accordingly. If you did not drive today and did not receive any new negative events but your score dripped, it is typically because a highly rated trip has aged out of your FICO Safe Driving Score 7–day range.
This means that you have the chance to continuously improve, and that one poor trip will not negatively impact your score forever. It also means that if you consistently display safe and defensive driving behaviors, you can maintain a high score while continuously adopting safe behaviors. Aim for a score at or above 710 and consistent Low– and Very Low–Risk ratings on your trips.
Note: If you have not taken a scorable trip in the past 7 days, your FICO Safe Driving Score will revert to 0 until a new scorable trip is available.
