The Circles feature in Mentor allows you to share your FICO® Safe Driving Score and other driving performance data with co-workers of your choosing.
To join a Circle created by your company or a co-worker, look for an invite message via text or other messaging app. You’ll see the name of the person who invited you, the name of the Circle to which you’ve been invited, and an invite code.
Tap the Join button at the bottom right of your Mentor Dashboard in the “My Circles” section and enter the invite code. To permanently leave a Circle you have joined, go to the Dashboard screen and select the Circle you wish to leave, and then tap on the “Leave Circle” button. To confirm, tap “OK” to permanently be removed from the Circle.
Of course, you can also create your own Circle among co-workers, even family & friends.
- Tap “Create A Circle” on your Dashboard.
- Name your Circle.
- Tap “Create A Circle Now”.
Begin the invite process by tapping “Add A New Member”. You’ll initiate an invite code by choosing the preferred service for sending the invitation (e.g., email, text, etc.), and by selecting someone to invite, either from your Contacts list or by entering a phone number.
Your Circles are listed at the bottom of your Dashboard screen. Tapping a Circle name will take you to the Leaderboard tab, showing the members of the Circle ranked according to their FICO ® Safe
Driving Scores. Tap on an individual member to see their Score, Total Trips, Miles, and Hours Driven, as well as number of assigned coaching modules and sub-scores for Acceleration, Braking, Cornering, Distraction, and Speeding.
Want to chat with an individual Circle member about their progress, or lack thereof? To send a personal message to an individual Circle member, begin by selecting the desired Circle from the Mentor Dashboard. The next screen will default to show you all members of the Circle, along with their FICO® Safe Driving Scores. Select the member you want to message and on the next screen, tap the chat icon on the right under the image of the Circle member. Type your text in the Message box at the bottom of the screen and tap the blue arrow on the right to send
your message to the selected Circle member.
Want to send a group message to all members of the Circle? Begin by selecting the desired Circle from the Mentor Dashboard. The next screen will default to show you all members of the
Circle, along with their FICO® Safe Driving Scores. Tap on the chat icon in the middle of the bar above the list of Circle members. Type your text in the Message box at the bottom of the screen and tap the blue arrow on the right to send your message to all Circle members.
NOTE: Personal and group messages may be up to 160 characters in length. Photos and other attachments are not supported. All messages will be saved for two weeks and then deleted from the Mentor system.
Want to cheer, tease, or simply acknowledge a Circle member? Swipe left on the member’s name in the Leaderboard or visit the Circle member’s shared Dashboard by tapping the member’s name and select one of the available actions:
- “Clap” to acknowledge and applaud a Circle member’s progress
- “Tease” to give your fellow member a hard time about regressing, falling off track or posting lower scores than your own
- “Poke” to acknowledge your fellow Circle member and just let him/her know “I see you!” or “I’m watching you!”
The Circles Activity tab will display Claps, Teases, and Pokes shared with you over the past 7 days. If you want to stop sharing your scores and personal Dashboard info, or if you want to stop receiving Claps, Teases, or Pokes, select Edit from the top right-hand corner of the Circles screen and toggle “Sharing” to “Off”.
Want to further personalize your Circle interactions? Upload a profile picture in the More section. Your photo will then appear next to your name in all Circle screens and activity.
